Which EMG bags can be submitted for inspection?
The scope is confirmed from the model, serial number and current manufacturer instructions. For a larger batch, please send a model list and photographs of the identification labels before delivery.
How often is a periodic inspection required?
EMG specifies an official inspection every 12 months and every 6 months in some countries. The applicable interval always follows the instructions for the specific product and local requirements at the place of use.
What does an EMG lifting bag inspection cover?
The inspection includes product identification and assessment of safety-relevant parts, including the fabric, lifting slings, seams, attachment points, closures, markings and signs of overload, wear or degradation.
Will I receive an inspection record?
Yes. The result is recorded and the bag receives a clear status for continued use together with inspection-date marking in line with the inspection procedure.
Can Northon repair a damaged EMG bag?
During the inspection, we assess the type and extent of damage. Northon can carry out a partial repair when it is permitted for the specific case and falls within our authorised scope. If the bag requires manufacturer repair, we inform the customer after the inspection and agree the next step, including return of the bag to EMG.
