Wind turbine generator bearing replacement
The Northon team replaced damaged generator bearings whose elevated temperature and excessive vibration were limiting turbine operation.
Completed work scope
We secured the drivetrain and prepared the generator for disassembly. After removing the worn components, we inspected the mating surfaces, shaft condition and other parts affecting correct seating of the new bearing.
- safe removal of damaged bearings
- inspection of mating components
- installation and setting of new bearings
- final generator system inspection
Project outcome
The replacement restored the generator's proper operating conditions and reduced the risk of further temperature and vibration increases. The work was documented in line with project requirements.
