Wind turbine nacelle roof repair in Poland

Northon repaired a sandwich-structure wind turbine nacelle roof in Poland, restoring the laminate continuity and anti-slip surface.

Nacelle roof sandwich structure repair

On 28 July 2026, we completed a composite wind turbine nacelle roof repair in Poland. The damage affected the sandwich structure, so the work covered both reconstruction of the load-bearing laminate layers and restoration of the core material.

Composite repair scope

The repair area was prepared by removing weakened material and shaping the edges of the existing laminate. The sandwich core was then reconstructed and subsequent laminate layers were applied to restore the geometry and continuity of the nacelle roof surface.

  • assessment and preparation of the damaged area
  • reconstruction of the sandwich structure core
  • composite lay-up bonded to the existing structure
  • finishing and protection of the repaired surface
  • restoration of the nacelle roof anti-slip layer

Restoring a safe working surface

After lamination, the surface was protected and its anti-slip texture was restored. The repaired area once again forms a consistent part of the nacelle roof skin and provides a safe access surface for service work.
